Scholarly Work Evaluation Rubric
Rates a paper's relevance, method, evidence and conclusions against a criteria table.
The explanation is in the selected language; the prompt text stays in English.
Why use it
For a student or researcher deciding whether a paper is safe to cite or teach from: it scores the work on explicit criteria, not impressions.
How to use it
Paste the abstract or full text into [PASTE]. State why you are judging it in [PURPOSE] and name the discipline in [FIELD].
Short example
Text: cohort study abstract. Purpose: decide whether to cite it in a literature review. Field: epidemiology.
What to expect
A rubric table with eight criteria scored 1 to 5, a text-based reason for each and a verdict: cite as strong evidence, cite with caution, or avoid.
Precautions and tips
- Anything missing from the text is marked not reported, so paste full text for fairer scores.
- Journal and author reputation are not judged, so check those yourself.
- A score is a reading aid, not a final verdict.
